Agartala November 20: The hanging body of an employee named Debajyoti Debnath of the Department of Information and Culture was recovered from a forest in Gandhigram on Monday. The house of the deceased is in Amtali area. According to the details of the incident, he left his father-in-law’s house in Champamura Nath Para to go to Rabindra Bhavan around evening after receiving a call from his colleagues. He told his wife that there is an office function at Rabindra Bhavan.
At night, on the way home from the function, he called his wife and informed that he would not return to his father-in-law’s house today. After that, they did not receive any phone calls from Debajyoti. On Monday morning, the police called Debajyoti father-in-law’s mobile phone and said that the hanging body of Debajyoti has been recovered. Then the people of father-in-law’s house identified the dead body. Meanwhile, a person close to Debajyoti alleged that Debajyoti borrowed Rs 7 lakhs from two office colleague’s .Debajyoti left the house after receiving their call on Sunday evening. The close relative alleged that they killed Debajyoti. The names of the two accused are Bhutto and Tapas. He further said that he will file a case against them at the police station. However, the in-law of Debajyoti directly complained that Debajyoti was murdered because Debajyoti is not supposed to go to Gandhigram area and he can’t climb trees. Therefore, the family members feel that such an incident is completely unexpected. The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem on Monday afternoon. Everyone burst into tears.
