Agartala, May 22 (H.S.): Police of Agartala West police station got a big success in the case of bike theft. Within 24 hours, with the help of Madhupur police station and BSF, it was possible to recover the stolen bike, said Sadar sub-divisional police officer Debprasad Roy. He said that the police have also arrested two Bangladeshi thieves.

Sadar Divisional Police Officer Joyprasad Roy said that a bike was stolen from Harijan Colony in Ramnagar on the night of May 20. In view of that incident, the bike owner filed a case with West police station. The police started investigating the case. The police of West police station reported the stolen bike to other police stations. After that on Sunday night, with the help of Madhupur police station and BSF, it was possible to recover the stolen bike from Madhupur Harihar area, he said. The police managed to arrest two Bangladeshi thieves.

He also said that various items stolen from Tripura are being easily smuggled to Bangladesh. The two arrested bike thieves have been identified as Mohammad Jhunu Mia and Kalam Mia, residents of Akhaura, Bangladesh. He claimed that various information about the bike thief gang in Bangladesh would be known by interrogating the arrested.
