Agartala: Jan 22: A state-level cross-country championship was held today at Melar Maidan in Agartala, Tripura. The event, part of the 2024-25 sports season, was organized by Agiye Chalo Sangha and supervised by the Tripura Athletics Association. Athletes from various regions of the state participated in the competition, which was divided into four categories.

The prize distribution ceremony took place with the presence of several distinguished guests, including the Mayor of Agartala, Deepak Majumdar, and Jahnavi Das Chowdhury.

During the event, Mayor Deepak Majumdar encouraged the participants and applauded their efforts. He expressed his appreciation for the athletes’ dedication and hard work in the sport. This championship provided a platform for athletes from across the state to showcase their talent and compete at a higher level. It also served to inspire young runners and encourage sportsmanship within the community. The event’s success not only celebrated athleticism but also fostered a sense of unity and pride in the state’s sporting achievements.
