State Government Introduces Wi-Fi in Colleges

Agartala: Oct 21: In response to long-standing demands from college students, the state government has decided to introduce Wi-Fi in all colleges. On Monday, Wi-Fi was inaugurated at Udaipur Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya by the state Finance Minister, Pranjit Singh Roy.

The inauguration event was attended by local MLA Ram Pad Jamatia, Udaipur Municipality Chairman Shital Majumdar, an IT department officer, and students of Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya. Minister Pranjit Singh Roy stated that, following the Chief Minister’s instructions, Wi-Fi will be installed in all state colleges to help students enhance their learning experience.

The new Wi-Fi connectivity at Udaipur Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya is expected to benefit six thousand students, as well as the college’s principals and teachers. Minister Roy also mentioned that the government is working on connecting students with smartphones to Wi-Fi to support their studies. He and other guests encouraged students to use the Wi-Fi for educational purposes.
