Agartala: Mar 11: In a recent parliamentary session, Rajib Bhattacharjee, the state BJP president and Member of Parliament, expressed strong criticism of the previous CPM and Congress regimes in Tripura. He highlighted what he described as a lack of developmental initiatives during their tenure, particularly in the healthcare sector.

Mr. Bhattacharjee emphasized the significant economic progress in the northeastern region under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He noted that Tripura has also benefited from this wave of development, with notable improvements in healthcare services. Reflecting on the past, he stated that the CPM and Congress governments failed to prioritize development and instead focused on policies that, according to him, exploited the poor.
