Agartala August 1: A function was organized to mark the 24th foundation day of Tripura Sports School on Tuesday. Sports Minister Tinku Roy was present. Speaking at the event organized at the Tripura Sports School premises, the minister said that this is the only sports school in the state of Tripura. This includes all kinds of sports facilities.

The government aims to improve the infrastructure of this school in the coming days. In the future, the government has given importance to the development of infrastructure so that players from the state of Tripura, among other states of the north-eastern region, can go to the national and international level every year and gain the reputation of Tripura. The budget for the financial year 2023-24 has provided health insurance for the players. This health insurance plan is designed to cover the medical expenses of a player if he gets injured while playing.

He also said that the playgrounds of the state are being beautified. He also said that the main objective behind the schemes adopted by the government is to change the quality of life of boys and girls. Sports are not just about keeping the mind and body healthy. Minister Tinku Roy expressed the opinion that sports are necessary to build the career of boys and girls. Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta, MLA Sarkar and others were also present on the occasion.
