 Son Arrested After Brutal Murder of Mother in Tripura Slum

Agartala: July 17: In a shocking incident that unfolded in the stormy slum area of Khoai Ratanpur, Tripura, a son has been arrested for the brutal murder of his birth mother. The grisly crime came to light when the elder son, Krishna Mohan, discovered the horrifying scene inside their home.

According to reports, on Wednesday morning, Krishna Mohan attempted to wake his mother, Parvati Shira (55), but received no response. Peering through a gap in the door, he found his younger brother, Haricharan Bhara, sitting amidst the aftermath of the gruesome act. Frightened, Krishna Mohan immediately alerted the Khoai police station.

Responding swiftly, a large police force led by OC Subir Malakar and second officer Jugal Tripura arrived at the scene. They forcibly entered the house and apprehended Haricharan. The forensic team was also dispatched to collect evidence, while the police recovered the victim’s body and transported it to the hospital.

Krishna Mohan revealed that the tragic incident occurred following an argument between his mother and Haricharan the previous night. Allegedly, Haricharan used a sharp knife to take his mother’s life, even decapitating her. The shocking murder has left the community in turmoil. Authorities continue their investigation into this disturbing case.
