Agartala: Feb 08: In a bid to enhance road safety and curb accidents, several amendments have been introduced to the traffic laws in Dharmanagar city. The announcement was made by Bhanupada Chakraborty, the Superintendent of Police (SP) for North Tripura district, during a press conference held today.

The modifications were meticulously deliberated upon, with a focus on streamlining traffic flow within the city. Chakraborty emphasized that these changes aim to facilitate smoother movement for pedestrians and motorists alike.

One notable alteration designates certain roads in Dharmanagar as ‘Y’ roads, effective from tomorrow. All drivers are mandated to adhere to this new regulation, and legal repercussions await those who flout it.

The community has welcomed these adjustments, anticipating a decline in accidents and an overall improvement in traffic conditions. As Dharmanagar takes this proactive step, residents hope for safer roads and more efficient transportation within the city.
