Due to heavy rain for several hours on Thursday night, several areas were submerged, including IGM Choumuhani , Paradise Choumuhani, Shakuntala Road and motor stand areas. On Thursday night, there was heavy rain for one and a half hours continuously and there was no power service in several areas. Agartala municipal corporation mayor Deepak Majumdar along with other officials visited the waterlogged areas late at night to check the water drainage system and informed that all the pumps are working and the water drainage system is very good and the waterlogged areas will be removed within hours. The water will recede, he said, adding that the roads have been flooded but no one’s house has entered
