Agartala: August 10: The seventh annual conference of the North East Hemophilia Consortium took place on Saturday. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of the state, Dr. Manik Saha, at a private hotel in the capital. The Health Secretary, Kiran Gitte, and other dignitaries were also in attendance.
In his inaugural address, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha highlighted that there are currently 77 registered hemophilia patients in the state, with 66 suffering from Hemophilia A and 11 from Hemophilia B, according to government statistics. He emphasized the importance of regular therapy for hemophilia patients and noted that Tripura provides this therapy free of cost.
Dr. Saha expressed optimism about the potential for quick recovery from hemophilia with proper treatment. He mentioned ongoing efforts to control the disease through modern medical services and advancements in medical science aimed at preventing hemophilia. The Chief Minister also extended his best wishes for a speedy recovery to all those currently affected by the disease.
