Safety and Protection: Ensure the safety of Chakmas, indigenous people, and minority students in Bangladesh

Agartala: Sept 21: The Tripura Chakma Students’ Association, along with other organizations, organized a protest march in the city today to condemn the recent attacks on minorities in Bangladesh. The procession traversed various streets, drawing attention to the ongoing violence.

A member of the organization reported that Chakma, indigenous people, minorities, and students in Khagrachhari, Bangladesh, have been subjected to continuous attacks over the past three days. Additionally, there have been reports of mass rapes against minority women. The protest aimed to condemn these atrocities and demand the safety of Chakmas, indigenous people, and minority students in Bangladesh. The protesters also called for the Chittagong Hill Tracts to be merged with India.
