Agartala November 29: Around Tuesday evening, Akter Hossain, a youth from the area of Udaipur Agriculture Choumuhani Rangamati Gram Panchayat, was driving an auto rickshaw when Subrata Das, 35 years old son of Anil Das of the area, suddenly started beating him. As soon as Rajab Ali was asked not to fight in this incident, Sanjay Debnath, the 35-year-old son of Kulbusan Debnath, who was with Subrata, along with Balai Das and some others started beating Rajab Ali.

At one point, 60-year-old Rajab Ali fell to the ground. Immediately, the local residents took Rajab Ali to Gomati District Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead. Then Rajab Ali’s son filed a case at Radha Kishorepur police station against Subrata, Balai, Sanjay along with a woman. The case number 167/2023, Indian Penal Code 325/302/34 IPC Section 325/302/34 IPC, three accused Subrata, Sanjay and Balai were arrested by the police on Tuesday night at Radhakishorpur police station. All locals of the area have been blocking the Udaipur-Killa road under Rangamati Gram Panchayat since Wednesday morning demanding the hanging of the convicts.

The people of the area blocked the road demanding hanging of the culprits by burning tires on the road. A large police force was deployed. Local MLA Rampada Jamatia rushed to the spot after hearing about the incident. According to local residents, another person named Biswajit Pal is involved in this incident. They demanded to be arrested Biswajit Pal and the family of deceased Rajab Ali is requested for government assistance. Area MLA Rampada assured that everyone involved in Jamatia’s murder will be arrested and sent to court by the police. He himself said that action will be taken against the culprits. After talking to the local people, the local people were forced to remove the road block. According to the MLA, the road blockade was lifted by the local residents. As a result of blocking the road for a few hours, people faced great difficulties in both directions.
