Agartala, August 3: Ankit Pal, a brilliant student from Lalchara, Khowai district, has been granted financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh by the Tripura Civil Service Officers Association to pursue higher education. Responding to the call of Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, the association stepped forward to support Ankit’s dream of studying engineering at IIT Benares.
Ankit Pal secured the ninth position in this year’s higher secondary examination conducted by the Tripura Board of Madhya Shiksha.
Under the ‘Super Thirty’ scheme of the state government, he earned a chance to study Civil Engineering at IIT Benares with coaching from outside the state. However, due to financial constraints, Ankit’s dream was uncertain.
Last Monday, accompanied by his mother, Ankit met Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha at the Chief Minister’s official residence and sought financial assistance.
The Chief Minister assured full support for Ankit’s higher education from the state government and urged the Tripura Civil Service Officers Association to stand by the student. True to their humanitarian approach, the association provided an initial assistance of Rs 1 lakh, removing all obstacles in Ankit’s educational journey.
State Government Secretary PK Chakraborty and Asim Saha, representing the Civil Service Organization, were present with the Chief Minister during the cheque handover ceremony. Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha congratulated the association for their initiative and assured ongoing government support for Ankit’s bright future.
The Chief Minister’s dedication to ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder talented students’ education sets a remarkable example for the state. Ankit Pal’s dreams of higher education are now within reach, thanks to the collective efforts of the Tripura Civil Service Officers Association and the compassionate Chief Minister.
On Facebook, Dr Saha wrote, “Responding to my appeal, the Tripura Civil Service Officers Association extended a helping hand for the higher education of Ankit Pal, a brilliant student of Lalchara, Khowai district.
