Real condition of existing infrastructure can be known only by regular inspection: Chief Minister

Agartala, September 21: It is possible to know the actual condition of existing infrastructure only by regular inspection. Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha said this while inspecting the progress of some government buildings, institutions and various government developments works in Agartala today. Besides visiting some government buildings, the Chief Minister also visited the construction school of the multi-storied state administrative building in Gorkhabasti.

First, the Chief Minister today visited the Muktdhara Auditorium in Agartala and reviewed various aspects including infrastructure. He laid special emphasis on maintaining the cleanliness and beautification of the auditorium.

After that Chief Minister visited Nazrul Kalakshetra in Agartala. During the visit, he came to know about some problems there and directed the concerned officials to take necessary measures to resolve them quickly. The Chief Minister visited National School of Drama, Sangeet Natak Academy, North East Regional Center of Lalitkala Academy and Tripura Institute of Phila and Television Institute established at Nazrul Kalakshetra. There he talked to the officials and students of the institutes and learned about various issues. All these institutes are taking a special role in training children from different places including Tripura in various fields including art, culture, acting and music.

From there, the Chief Minister visited the Tripura State Forensic Science Laboratory at Narsingarh. During the visit, the Chief Minister was informed about the various activities of the Forensic Science Laboratory. He said, the purpose of this visit is to see the condition of various government buildings in the city. Along with this, he said that the main purpose of this inspection is to speed up the works by knowing the actual status of all the projects that have already been approved. In this regard, where some problems have been found, the concerned officials have been instructed to solve them quickly.

Moreover, the Chief Minister today visited the proposed site for the new building of Diploma Course of Tripura Institute of Technology, Narsingar, talked about the project planning with the engineers of the works department present there. Besides, he also visited the newly constructed building of Tripura Institute of Technology. Finally, the Chief Minister visited the construction site of the multi-storied state administration building at Gurkhabasti in Agartala.

On this day, the Chief Minister said, all the government offices will be brought under the same roof in this multi-storied building. The project work is targeted to be completed in about two and a half years. The construction company has been instructed to complete the work while maintaining the quality within the specified time frame.
