Ratan Das Files Nomination Papers for 7 Ramnagar By-Election

Agartala: Mar 22: In a significant development, Ratan Das, the candidate representing the Left Front and India Jote, officially entered the electoral race for the 7 Ramnagar by-election. On Friday, amidst a spirited procession, Das submitted his nomination papers to the Assistant Returning Officer at the Sadar Sub-Divisional Office.

The procession, which wound its way through the streets, included prominent figures such as Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha, MLA Sudip Roy Barman, and a host of Congress workers and supporters who rallied behind the India Jote cause.

Earlier in the day, CPI(M) candidate Ratan Das also filed his nomination papers, leading a massive procession from Durga Chowmuhani in the capital. Speaking after completing the formalities, Das emphasized the significance of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He framed them as a critical battle to safeguard the nation’s interests and expressed determination to challenge the incumbent Modi government.

Das, who previously served as an MLA in 7 Ramnagar, expressed gratitude to the people for once again choosing him as their candidate. As the electoral campaign intensifies, all eyes are on the candidates vying for this crucial seat, and voters eagerly await the opportunity to cast their ballots on election day.
