Agartala: Jan 19: A mega blood donation camp and a one-day convention were held at Nazrul Kalakshetra on Sunday. The event was organized by the Rashtrabad Karmi Sangha and Rashtrabad Shikshak Sangha, both affiliated with the Vivekananda Bichar Manch, Tripura Pradesh. The occasion also marked the launch of an online web portal named ‘Raktabandhan’.

The state’s Minister of Power, Ratan Lal Nath, attended the event as the chief guest, along with other dignitaries, including the Mayor of Agartala, Deepak Majumdar.

 

Minister Ratan Lal Nath expressed his gratitude to the blood donors and organizers, emphasizing the importance of blood donation as a service to humanity. He also praised the new web portal ‘Raktabandhan’, highlighting its potential to revolutionize blood donation in the state.

 

The organizers explained that the web portal aims to connect blood donors with those in need, providing comprehensive information related to blood donation.

 

Mayor Deepak Majumdar also commended the initiative, noting its significance in promoting a healthy society.

 

The event saw a large number of people donating blood, demonstrating their commitment to helping others.
