Agartala, December 22: The Department of School Education has announced the postponement of the Class 12 Bengali examination due to the leak of the 10th class question paper of the pre-board examination. Perhaps, the decision to postpone the exam is considered to be due to the possibility of the question paper being leaked.
It should be noted that there is a great deal of criticism in the field of school education. It is not a new thing that the question papers reach the hands of the examinees before the examination begins in the state. This time also the pre-board exam questions have reached the candidates. It has been alleged that the question papers were sold at the rate of 2000 rupees.
Examinations are now held in government schools on the same central questions across the state. Pre-board exam is not out of it. Hence, the leak of Class 10 question papers cannot rule out the possibility that the same thing happened in all schools. So perhaps the education department has decided to postpone the Bengali examination of class 12th.
The Department of Education issued a statement saying that Class XII Bengali examination has been suspended in government-aided and private schools not under the Vidyajyoti scheme. The date will be announced later.
