Public Movement Restricted in Kanchanpur Subdivision

Kanchanpur, Oct 16: A restriction on public movement has been imposed under Section 163 of the Indian Penal Code, 2023, to ensure peace, order, security, and harmony in the Kanchanpur subdivision. This restriction, effective from October 15, 2024, will remain in force until October 17, 2024.

The order, issued by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dr. Deepak Kumar, exempts military, paramilitary, and state police personnel engaged in maintaining law and order. Additionally, individuals authorized by the Superintendent of Police, North Tripura District, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Kanchanpur subdivision, and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, as well as government employees on urgent duty and those requiring immediate medical treatment, are not subject to this restriction.

Non-compliance with the order will be punishable under Section 223 of the IPC, 2023.
