Agartala: July 10: In a demonstration against the state government’s decision to close schools in various parts of Tripura, members of the Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress and NSUI attempted to surround the residence of Chief Minister and Education Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Sahar. However, their protest was cut short when police officers intervened, arresting approximately 60 protesters. The detained individuals were taken to the Edinburgh police line.

State Youth Congress President Neelkamal Saha expressed concern over the impact of the school closures on students’ lives, characterizing the government’s policy as detrimental to education. The Chief Minister’s house became the focal point of the protest today.
