Agartala: August 20: A group of job aspirants gathered in front of the Joint Recruitment Board Tripura (JRBT) office on Tuesday, demanding the immediate release of the merit list for the Group-D exam. The notification for this exam was initially released on December 3, 2020, but the merit list has yet to be published, causing significant frustration among the candidates.

The delay has been attributed to various reasons, including the Lok Sabha and Panchayat elections, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic, which postponed the exam by a year. Despite multiple visits to the JRBT office and discussions with officials, the candidates have not received any satisfactory response.

The protestors have urged Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and Labor Minister Tinku Roy to ensure the merit list is released without further delay. They expressed concerns about the prolonged wait affecting their job prospects and enthusiasm.

The candidates questioned why the recruitment process has taken nearly four years to complete and emphasized the impact on their morale and future employment opportunities. They called for the government to expedite the process and avoid further delays that could jeopardize their chances of securing employment.
