Agartala: Dec 30: In response to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s comments on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar during a recent parliamentary session, Left-wing organizations staged a massive protest in Agartala today. The protest, organized by five Left-wing groups, saw a large number of participants demanding accountability for the remarks made about the Constitution’s architect, Dr. Ambedkar.

Across the country, opposition parties have been protesting against Amit Shah’s controversial comments, and Tripura has been no exception. Along with the Congress, Left-wing groups in the state have also voiced their opposition. Today’s protest march in Agartala was a significant demonstration of their discontent.

The protesters expressed strong condemnation of Amit Shah’s remarks regarding Dr. Ambedkar, calling them disrespectful. The marchers also demanded that the Home Minister resign from his position over the alleged disrespect shown to Ambedkar’s legacy.

This protest in Tripura is part of a larger wave of opposition mobilization against the Home Minister’s comments, which many have viewed as an attack on the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution. The Left parties and other opposition groups are continuing their efforts to hold the government accountable, urging action to address what they consider an affront to the nation’s founding principles.
