Professor Maklesh Kumar appointed as the new Director of the Eklavya Campus at Central Sanskrit University

Agartala: April 22: Professor Maklesh Kumar has been appointed as the new Director of the Eklavya Campus at Central Sanskrit University. The announcement was made by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Srinivas Varkhedi. Prior to this role, Professor Kumar served as a Professor and Head of the Department of Puranic History at the university’s Sadashiv Campus in Puri, Odisha. His predecessor, Professor Prabhat Kumar Mahapatra, has been transferred to the same position in Puri.

Hailing from Vegauji Buzurg village in Uttar Pradesh’s Siddharth Nagar district, Professor Kumar completed his Acharya (M.A.) and Ph.D. degrees at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi. Over the years, he has held various academic and administrative positions, including roles at Ekrasanand Sanskrit College, Saiypur, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, New Delhi, and Central Sanskrit University’s Sadashiv Campus.

 

Known for his dedication and efficiency, Professor Kumar has been entrusted with the leadership of the Eklavya Campus. His arrival was warmly welcomed by the faculty, staff, and students with floral garlands and Vedic chants. The appointment has created a sense of enthusiasm and optimism within the campus community, despite their current focus on preparing for examinations starting May 1.
