Agartala: Nov 19: The government has announced a price hike for both CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) and PNG (Piped Natural Gas), which will come into effect from November 20. This decision was officially communicated today by the Tripura Natural Gas Company Limited (TNGCL) in a statement.
According to the statement, the increase in gas prices is attributed to various factors, including the rising cost of production and distribution. From November 20, CNG prices in West Tripura will rise from ₹75.41 per kg to ₹75.91 per kg. In other districts, the price of CNG will increase from ₹79.99 per kg to ₹80.49 per kg. Similarly, the price of PNG will go up from ₹38.55 per standard cubic meter (SCM) to ₹39.05 per SCM. For commercial and industrial sectors in West Tripura, the price of PNG will rise from ₹49.00 per SCM to ₹49.50 per SCM. In other areas, PNG prices will increase from ₹43.39 per SCM to ₹43.89 per SCM, while in Bodhjung IGC, it will increase from ₹37.20 per SCM to ₹37.35 per SCM.
The price hike is expected to impact both domestic consumers and commercial establishments that rely on CNG and PNG for their daily operations.
