Agartala: Oct 02: In a ceremony organized by the Transport Department at Agartala MBB Airport, the prepaid taxi counter was inaugurated. Transport Minister Sushant Chowdhury led the inauguration by cutting the ribbon. During his speech, the minister emphasized the crucial role of auto-rickshaw and prepaid taxi drivers in the development of Tripura state. He highlighted that the state’s progress is closely tied to the contributions of these drivers.

Addressing the drivers, Minister Chowdhury urged them to remain at the airport until the last flight of the day arrives to ensure passengers have access to transportation. He stressed that if passengers are left without vehicles upon arrival, it would reflect poorly on the Transport Department. The minister also advised the drivers to maintain good behavior with passengers, noting past incidents of misbehavior that have caused concern for the government. He emphasized the importance of creating a positive environment and avoiding setbacks.
