Addressing the rally, veteran CPI(M) leader Aghore Debbarma stated that vehicles carrying people from various districts to the rally were vandalized and stopped in many places, attributing this to the ruling party’s fear.

He remarked that since 2018, common people have struggled to retain their democratic rights, suggesting that democracy is only nominal. He further emphasized that the people of Tripura have demonstrated their resilience, proving that no matter the obstacles or oppression, they cannot be confined to their homes. He added that the large turnout at the rally indicates the people’s faith in the Left party.
