Agartala: Feb 19: With the initiative of Ampi Nagar police officials a police public friendly volleyball tournament competition was organized here in Ampi Nagar mini gallery stadium ground today. As per the report, under the able guidance and supervision of SI Bikram Debbarma and SI Birendra Das of Ampi Nagar PS the match was accomplished and gained appreciation by the public. Sources said, as a part of 150 years Tripura police anniversary this youths motivational volleyball competition was organized to promote the police public relationship in the PS jurisdiction area. The competition was played amidst several teams from different villages of Ampi Nagar. Many local people have gathered in the venue and enjoyed the match with enthusiasm. As per the lastest information Tentui Bari team has obtained the championship status. According to S.I Bikram Debbarma of Ampi PS, the tournament competition was quite inspiring and many local youths have gained motivation from the match . Mr. Debbarma said, “Our fundamental goal is to create good relationship with local youths and generate awareness amidst youths over healthy life. Through sports it is an endeavour to keep the youngster away from drugs and antisocial tendency and pour spirit of sports amidst young generation.” At the end of the tournament the organizer authority has distributed prizes. Amongst the other distinguished participants there were Ampi Ex.sub zonal chairman Deb Sadhan Jamatia and other police staff remained present in the programme.
