Police detains man with narcotic items

Agartala Dec 29: Tripura police detained a person identified as Suman Deb with narcotic items on Wednesday night.Briefing the details, SDPO Ajay Kumar Das said, “OC of East Agartala Police Station Rana Chatterjee received an information from specific sources and according formed a team to nab the accused drug peddlers”.Suman Das, S/O Lt Nirmal Chandra Das, a resident of Town Pratapgarh area was nabbed from his own residence with 12 gm of heroine.However, another drug dealer Mithan Das eloped from the spot. SDPO Ajay Kumar Das said, “Police are in search of Mithan Das and he will be arrested soon”.The accused Suman Deb was produced before the court here on Thursday seeking 5 days police remand.
