Agartala: July 12: In a joint operation conducted by the Border Security Force (BSF) and Sabroom police station, seven Bangladeshi nationals were arrested. The incident took place in the Kathalchhari area last night. During police interrogation, Four females and Three males of the detainees admitted to being Bangladeshi nationals, while the third person was identified as an Indian tout named Thaikai Mag (26), residing in the Doulbari area under Sabroom police station.

The police Official said, “The arrested individuals have been identified as; Ibrahim Hossain (24) from Kalaroa, Bangladesh, Safikul Islam (32) from Satkhira, Bangladesh, Musamed Salina Begum (22) from Satkhira, Bangladesh, accompanied by her son, Samim Reze (5), Md. Shimul Hossain (28) from Satkhira, Bangladesh, Nur Nahar Juma (23) from Pabna, Bangladesh, Taslima Kanum (24) from Narail, Bangladesh and Meenu Khatun (19) from Kholna, Bangladesh”. Bangladeshi documents, mobile phones and Indian currency have been recovered from all the detainees and they were produced before the Court on Friday for further legal action”, he added.
