Agartala: Dec 22: Opposition leader Jitendra Chowdhury has expressed concerns about a potential deterioration of law and order in the context of the BJP’s Mandal president elections. He claimed that there is a game of money and muscle power going on within the party, even for the Mandal president elections. Chowdhury stated that party leaders are trying to win elections through the use of muscle power, as revealed through various statements in newspapers.

He further added that the Bharatiya Janata Party engages in various unconstitutional and illegal activities to get votes, spending a hundred times more money during elections than other parties. Taking a dig at the ruling party, Chowdhury said that if the BJP is so concerned about ‘One Nation, One Election’ and worried about wasting time and money through elections, they should stop unconstitutional activities like buying and selling MLAs.
