Agartala: Dec 18:        Due to dilapidated road condition Tom Tom drivers alongwith other vehicle drivers were facing problem here in Thakchara panchayat under Birganj PS Amarpur Gomati Tripura. At first TomTom drivers have staged the road blockade then local people have assembled on the  blockade demanding the reformation of the road immediately. This incident came to light on Monday in the area adjacent to Thakchara panchayat where due to blockade many vehicles were found stopped on the both directions of the road . In the details of the incident, it is known that the main road leading to Makrai Bari passing in front of Thachchra Panchayat has become dilapidated and it is lying the same condition for a long time. Due to worst condition of the road the common people of the area are going through risky journeys every day. Being agitated TomTom drivers threw trees on the road on Monday and blocked traffic for a long time. Being informed the concerned authority rushed to the spot and talked with the agitators to withdraw the blockade. Afterwards on the verbal assurance of the concerned authority the road blockade was withdrawn.
