Agartala: Mar 02: CPM will not be the second largest party in Tripura after seeing the likely outcome of the assembly elections. After forming the BJP government, Tipra Matha will get the status of opposition party in the assembly. Ratan Lal Nath, the MLA for the seventh time in a row, said this with the determination to win the Mohanpur constituency. He claimed that the people of Tripura have rejected the Left Front and Congress alliance.

On this day, he said, it is very difficult to fulfill the duties of MLA. Because, it is possible to win the vote only if we move forward with people’s support. He emphatically said that he has been elected as MLA for the seventh consecutive time, there is no such precedent at present. He claimed that I have worked for the welfare of the people, so I have been re-elected.

According to him, the people of Tripura have rejected the Left Front and Congress alliance. Manik Sarkar, Manik Dey, Tapan Chakraborty and some other senior CPM leaders had already realized this. Therefore, they did not contest the elections.

He claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the main architect of this victory. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP All India President JP Nadda are also present. Under their guidance, BJP is going to form the government again in Tripura.

He also added that CPM cannot become the second largest party in Tripura Bidhan Sabha. Looking at the possibility, he is sure that Tipra Matha will get the status of opposition party in the assembly.
