NLFT militant  Surrender to BSF

Agartala, January 7 : An unlisted militant  of the NLFT (Vishwa Mohan) group surrendered to the BSF today. The militant  surrendered at Border Out Post (BOP) Manoranjan area under Chawmanu in Dhalai. BSF Tripura Frontier Public Relations Officer informed this news in a statement.

Uday Manik Jamatia of Tulsiram Bari area under Killa Thana of Gomati district surrendered to 126 Battalion of BSF in the early night of NLFT militant. He joined NLFT (BM) in September 2023. BSF Tripura Frontier Public Relations Officer said that Uday Manik Jamatia has decided to surrender to leave the path of violence and lead a normal life and join the mainstream of the country.

On this day, he also said in the statement that the state has been identified as hostile for the last few decades. Several cadres of the NLFT (Vishwa Mohan) group have recently chosen to return to the mainstream of society due to the efforts of the central agencies and state authorities.
