New Governor to be sworn in on Thursday

Newly appointed Governor of Tripura Indra Sena Reddy Nallu has accorded a warm reception at Raj Bhavan Agartala on his arrival at the state on Wednesday

Agartala: Newly appointed Governor of Tripura Indra Sena Reddy Nallu has accorded a warm reception at Raj Bhavan Agartala on his arrival at the state on Wednesday. According to the schedule announced by the state government, Nallu would be sworn in as 20th Governor of the North Eastern state. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, and other senior members of his cabinet, top officials of the state administration shall attend the swearing in ceremony. Meanwhile, outgoing Governor SN Arya had been bid farewell adhering to the protocols on Tuesday with the ceremonial guard of honor. He assumed the charge of office in July 2021. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Minister Shuklacharan Noatia, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, and the Director General of Police, Amitabh Ranjan, were among the top officials who attended the ceremony.  Before taking his leave, the departing Governor Satyadeo Narayan Arya shared a few words with Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. The Chief Minister praised the outgoing Governor for his dedicated service and noted the amicable relationship he maintained with the government.
