Despite the court’s regulation prohibiting loud music after 10 PM, DJ sound systems continue to disrupt the peace in various areas of Agartala, particularly at night. This has caused significant inconvenience to the residents, as many individuals continue to defy the administration’s rules. The loud noise from these events has become a frequent disturbance for the public.

The seized soundboxes were found at three locations: AGM College hostel, Paritosh Das’s residence in the Chanmari area, and another in the Borjala area. The police took swift action by confiscating the equipment and initiating legal proceedings against the three individuals involved. According to the NCC police, these actions were taken as a direct violation of the court’s order, which prohibits the use of high-volume sound systems after 10 PM.

This raid was part of the police’s ongoing efforts to tackle the DJ nuisance in the capital, a recurring issue that has prompted authorities to take strong action. The police have assured that they will continue such operations to ensure the peace and comfort of the residents of Agartala.
