Agartala, Nov 24 — The NB Institute for Rural Technology (NBIRT) “Arkaneer” and Bhavan’s Tripura College of Teacher Education (BTCTE) on Monday formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering entrepreneurship development, skill enhancement and the promotion of green energy technologies. The signing of the MoU took place alongside an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme focused on green energy, designed to inspire innovation and an entrepreneurial mindset among students.
The programme was attended by key dignitaries, including Dr. Rajat Dey, Principal of BTCTE; Dr. Mridul Chakraborty, Assistant Professor; Dr. Suprasad Lodh, Associate Professor at BTCTE; and Er. Kapil Baran Bhowmik, Honorary Vice-President of NBIRT. Advocate Abhijit Gon Choudhury, Honorary Secretary of NBIRT, and Er. P. L. Ghosh, Technical Advisor, were also present. Guests were welcomed with floral bouquets by the organisers.
The session began with an introduction by Debasmita Ganguly, Research Scholar at NBIRT, who outlined the goals and expected outcomes of the Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme. In his welcome address, Er. Kapil Baran Bhowmik highlighted NBIRT’s ongoing initiatives in technological education and its expanding focus on fostering entrepreneurship.
Addressing the students, Dr. Rajat Dey emphasised entrepreneurship as a promising career avenue and encouraged students to seek guidance from NBIRT in exploring business ideas. Er. P. L. Ghosh delivered an insightful talk on the potential of green energy, explaining how entrepreneurship in the sector can promote environmental sustainability and economic development.
The central highlight of the event was the signing of the MoU between NBIRT and BTCTE, aimed at establishing a long-term collaborative framework for Entrepreneurship Development Programmes. The partnership seeks to build industry-relevant skills, promote innovation-driven learning and strengthen academic–industry connect.
NBIRT Project Officer Anup Dey delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating the participation of dignitaries, faculty and students. Following the formalities, students visited the SUNIL Office Complex under NBIRT supervision.
The event concluded with a shared commitment to advancing green entrepreneurship, nurturing innovation and strengthening collaborative growth within the state.
