The Meteorological Department reported that the epicenter was located in Bangladesh, at coordinates 24.05° latitude and 91.37° longitude, with a depth of 10 kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface. Tremors from the earthquake were felt in various regions of Bangladesh, including Ramganj Upazila, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Sylhet, and Rangpur, as well as parts of Tripura, Mizoram, and Meghalaya.
No reports of damage or casualties have been received from any affected areas. Authorities confirmed that Tripura is considered an earthquake-prone region, and such occurrences often create alarm among residents. Officials continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure public safety.
