Agartala March 31: On Friday, Mayor Deepak Majumdar visited the Ramakrishna Seva Mandir at Akhaura Road along with Agartala Municipal Corporation’s team. The monastery authorities requested to visit this monastery area and take some measures. In response to that request, the mayor said that this is the day’s visit.

During the visit, he met with the members of the Math and the Maharaj. The monastery is in need of some renovation. Basically a pond in the monastery needs to be renovated. This pond is used for religious purposes at various times. There is a children’s school next door. Therefore, considering the overall aspect, he emphasized on the reform of the pond. After the renovation, the pond will be barricaded, said the mayor. He also assured that Municipal Corporation would help in providing an ashram and building a road. Mayor-in-Councillor Member Tushar Kanti Bhattacharjee, Corporator and others were present.
