Agartala, November 24 : Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya’s dream was to build better infrastructure to expand the education system. The state government is committed and working as per the promise to realize this dream of Maharaja. Chief Minister Professor (Dr) Manik Saha said this while unveiling the statue of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya at Maharaja Birvikram University today.

On this day, the Minister of State said that the achievements of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya in the education sector of the state should not be forgotten. There is a need to highlight Maharaja’s contribution in the field of education to the next generation. In this regard, the state government is working with sincerity.

On this day, the Chief Minister also said in the program that the present state government is properly appreciating the contribution of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya in the field of education. But the contribution of Maharajas in the past has not been properly appreciated. Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya’s dream was to expand the education system and build better infrastructure. The state government is committed and working as per the promise to realize this dream of Maharaja.

According to him, the infrastructure of MBB University, the pride of the state, is not less than any other university in the country. The state government wants MBB University and MBB College to become the ‘art of excellence’ in the education sector of the state.

Only then the tendency among the children of the state to study abroad will be reduced a lot. For that purpose, the government is working by taking necessary steps for the infrastructural development of MBB University.

The Chief Minister said that MBB University is the only university under the state government. There are three colleges under this university – MBB College, BBM College, Law College. The chief minister expressed hope that this number will increase in the coming days.
