Speaking to reporters, SFI state secretary Sandipan Deb expressed concerns over suspected corruption in Tripura’s education sector. Allegations have surfaced against a teacher at the medical college, accusing them of passing failing students in exchange for money. This has caused widespread uproar in the state. In response, the youth organizations submitted a deputation near the medical college, urging authorities to initiate a fair investigation.

Deb further criticized the medical college administration for not forming an investigative committee despite the gravity of the allegations. He also raised concerns over the silence of Chief Minister and Education Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha on the matter, alleging that efforts are being made to suppress the investigation. The protests by the left-wing youth organizations aim to bring attention to these issues and demand accountability.
