Land Custom Station at Nishchintpur Railway Station: Notification Issued

Agartala, September 7: A notification has been issued for setting up land customs station for goods and passenger transport at Nishchintpur railway station on Agartala-Akhaura rail link. Tripura Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury thanked the central government for this step. Basically, this land custom station is being set up for the Gangasagar international rail route from Nishchintpur to Bangladesh.

In a message on social media, he said, on September 6, Nishchintpur Railway Station has been declared as a land customs station by an announcement from the Government of India. With that, we took another step towards the launch of the much awaited Agartala-Akhaura rail link through Bangladesh. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Baishnab and State Chief Minister Prof (Dr) Manik Saha for this step.
