Kanchanpur SI sacked for extorting money and looting goods

Agartala, December 11 : SI Purna Mog of Kanchanpur police station has been dismissed for his involvement in the incident of extorting money and looting goods from traders on Jampui Road last Thursday. The incident created a stir in the entire defense administration.

Incidentally, last Thursday, three traders were coming towards Kanchanpur by car to buy betel nuts. Then the miscreants dressed in police uniform arrested the Kanchanpur police station. It is said that cash and 36 bags of betel nuts were looted from them. Uttar District Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty and DIG L Darlong rushed to Kanchanpur as soon as the incident came to light. They started investigating the incident. In the investigation, the name of Purna Mog, working at Kanchanpur police station, came up in that incident. He was subsequently fired and arrested.
