Ampi, 28th of December 2023.   With the initiative of the Kaipeng tribe ‘Kaipeng Christian Diamond Jubilee’ (1962-2022) closing ceremony has been conducted here in Dhanlekha Khua under Ampi nagar RD block in Gomati Tripura today. On this auspicious occasion a large number of Kaipeng people from all over Tripura as well as from other states have assembled here in the programme venue and took participation in the celebration. Aiming the theme, ‘Only let us live up to what we have already attained’ the distinguished dignitaries from the state have highlighted the very significance of the theme and motivated the Kaipeng participants towards the Christian religion. As per the dignitaries of the programme, Kaipeng Christian Diamond Jubilee 60yrs of Christianity in Kaipeng society since 1962. As per the reports around
95% of Kaipeng are following Christianity. They have gathered from different villages and areas under the state of Tripura
as well as Kaipeng participants from Mizoram and others states have also attended the Diamond Jubilee Observation. Mr. Laldomthang Kaipeng (Convenor) said,
under Kaipeng Christian 9 denominations of Christian community have participated and every leader has expressed their greetings and personal views.
On this auspicious day souvenir was released and the Kaipeng people were blessed to accept Jesus Christ as their saviour. This Jubilee was celebrated with holy prayer, song, dance and lots of additional entertainments. The former Kaipeng Christian social reformers were remembered with respect and prayed for their soul. The main reason of the celebration of this Kaipeng Christian Diamond Jubilee is that the Kaipeng tribe has developed their social status through Christianity in Tripura and others state like Mizoram. The grace of the lord is leading the tribe forward. This Diamond Jubilee has created fraternity of love understand, peace, harmony and above all a spirit of unity, and oneness among themselves. It brings them  willingness to work together and motivated people towards the better future for the Kaipeng generation as one people as the theme. A grand feast has been arranged for the participants too. The Christian preachers of the programme have impressed the gathering over the great contribution of the Christian religion for the goodness of the society. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Rev. Rangtuasanga Darlong, TBCU GS, Rev. John Thilsong, EFCI, Tangpui Presbytery Superintendent, Rev. Rajani Kaipeng, Rev. Kalu Kalai, Executive secretary, Rev. B. Rothangpui, field director, BCM Tripura field and many others remained present in the programme.
