Agartala, September 27: Today, Jharna Debbarma took charge as the seventh chairperson of the Women’s Commission. On this day, the staff of the Women’s Commission welcomed her.
The Women’s Commission was formed in 1994 to solve the growing problem of women. Jharna Debbarma took charge as the seventh Chairperson on Wednesday. On this day, he took over the responsibility of the commission from Barnali Goswami.
She thanked the Chief Minister and the State Government on taking charge as the Chairperson. He said that Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha will try his best to carry out the important responsibility entrusted to him.
