Agartala, September 7: Tripura Police continues war against drugs. Still, it is not possible to completely stop drug trafficking and sale in the state. Police Superintendent of West District Kiran Kumar and Nischintapur BSF No. 42 BOP jointly raided a house last night on the basis of secret information.

During the operation, the police recovered 900 Yaba tablets, 62 grams of heroin and cash along with empty containers. The owner of the house was also arrested.

It is known that on the basis of secret information, West police station news came that there is a large amount of drugs stored in the house of Milan Mia, a resident of Madhya Charipara area. On the basis of that news, West District Superintendent of Police Dr. Kiran Kumar and Nischintpur BSF No. 42 BOP conducted a joint operation late last night. 62 grams of heroin, 900 yaba tablets, 5000 empty containers along with 5000 cash were seized during the search of the house. Superintendent of Police Kiran Kumar said that the market value of the confiscated drug paraphernalia will be approximately five lakh rupees.

 

West District Superintendent of Police, Amtali Police Station SDPO Ashish Dasgupta, OC Ranjit Debnath and other police personnel were in the operation that day.
