Agartala December 15: The police of Amtali police station recovered the illegal cough syrup worth 10 lakh rupees. Police raided a house in Matinagar area and recovered these drug paraphernalia. A drug dealer named Biki Majumdar was arrested. A police official said that on the basis of secret information, the police of Amtali police station raided a house in Matinagar area on Friday morning.
Bagged cough syrups were recovered from a room of that house. A total of 2 thousand 90 bottles of intoxicating cough syrup were recovered today. The market value of which will be approximately 10 lakh rupees. A drug dealer named Biki Majumdar was arrested at the same time. The arrested drug dealer is being interrogated to find out who else is involved in the drug trade. The Sub-Divisional Police Officer also said that a case has been registered under the NDPS section and investigation into the incident has been started.
