After the press conference, 105 families of voters from Shilachari and Korbuk left different political parties and joined the Trinamool Congress. Trinamool Congress leaders present welcomed the newcomers into the fold. Apart from Pijush Kanti Biswas, Trinamool Congress leaders Sushmita Dev, Rajib Banerjee and others were present at the press conference.
