Agartala March 7: Members of the new state cabinet will take oath in a ceremony at Swami Vivekananda Maidan on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP state president and others will be present in this oath-taking ceremony. Meanwhile, final preparations have been completed at Swami Vivekananda Maidan.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP All India President JP Nadda arrived in the state on Tuesday afternoon to participate in the oath-taking ceremony. On this day, the Union Home Minister and BJP State President went straight to the State Guest House from MBB Airport. Provincial BJP leaders were present there. According to sources, the Union Home Minister and BJP state president will discuss with the party’s top leaders about who will get a place in the new cabinet.
There may also be a discussion on the distribution of offices among the members who have a place in the cabinet. It is also reported that they may discuss with the MLAs elected for the BJP party. It may be noted that Governor Satyadeo Narayan Arya will administer the oath to the next Chief Minister in Agartala on Wednesday. And Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister will be present in that program. The new government will be sworn in at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala. The work of building the stage has already started there. Significantly, the BJP has not nominated anyone as the chief minister in this time’s assembly polls. Rather, they incited speculations by fielding Union State Minister Pratima Bhowmik in the assembly polls. By snatching the seat of former CPM Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, Pratima has provoked the possibility of a new equation this time. Even if he does not get the chief minister ship in the end, it is believed that he can get an important place in the cabinet this time.
