Agartala: Oct 04: Uttar-Brishjapur village under Charilam block celebrated Village Day on Friday, organized by the Gram Unnayan Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited. The event saw the presence of several dignitaries, including Telangana Governor and former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, Jitendra Devvarma, Chairperson of Sipahijala District Council, Supriya Das Dutta, Member of Sipahijala District Council, Rajkumar Debnath, Chairperson of Charilam Block Panchayat Samiti, Khela Bhowmik, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Bishalgarh, Rakesh Chakraborty, and BDO of Charilam Block, Kritika Saha.
During the celebration, 24 individuals from the area were felicitated for their contributions. In his address, Governor Jitendra Devvarma emphasized the importance of Village Day in fostering pride among villagers for their birthplace. He suggested that inviting those who live outside the village to participate in the celebrations could strengthen community bonds.
