Govt take decision to give social allowance to 29 thousand 810 people in state: Tinku Roy

Agartala, December 30: It has been decided to give social allowance of Rs 2,000 per month to 29,410 more people in the state at the end of the year. Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy said this at a press conference at the Secretariat today. To provide social allowance to 29 thousand 410 new people, the additional cost of the state government will be Rs 786 crore annually.

On this day, he said, among 29 thousand 410 people, 1653 will get widow’s allowance, 5388 will get husband’s abandoned allowance, and 14,197 will get old age allowance. Among them 420 unmarried women will be given allowance, 1946 will get divyang allowance.

On this day, he also said that 5806 people will get social allowance under the remaining scheme in the state and 29 thousand 410 people will get social allowance. He said that a total of 29 thousand 410 people will be given social allowance. They will get allowance from the first month of the new year.

According to him, the Chief Minister in the state announced to give social allowance of Rs 2,000 per month to 30,000 people. Today it has been decided to give social allowance of Rs 2,000 per month to 29 thousand 410 people. Many were not given social benefits due to errors in their documents.
