The gathering also included notable guests such as former Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court, Shubhashis Talapatra, former Principal of MBB College Dr. Shambhunath Rakshit, and renowned educationist Manoranjan Gop from Teliamura and Tripura.

The Kshitish Deb Memorial Social Welfare Committee was established following the death of Kshitish Deb, a prominent figure from Teliamura. His son, Bhaskar Deb, a distinguished lawyer of the state, initiated the committee to provide scholarships to students from special categories across 15 schools in the Teliamura subdivision. This initiative, aimed at supporting students in their educational endeavors, has already received widespread acclaim for its social impact.

During his address, Jishnu Dev Varma praised the initiative as an excellent example of social responsibility and urged members of every segment of society to play an active role in the development of their communities. He expressed hope that the Kshitish Deb Memorial Social Welfare Committee’s work would inspire similar efforts across Teliamura and the broader state in the future. Other speakers also lauded the program and expressed optimism for its continued growth.

The event was chaired by Kshirod Ranjan Deb, a former teacher of Teliamura, whose leadership ensured the program’s success. The atmosphere was further enriched by a captivating cultural program performed by local artists, making the entire occasion memorable and vibrant.
